Position Summary:
We have an immediate opening for an Arborist Groundscrew / Driver to support our crew in daily operations. This role is essential to keeping our job sites safe, efficient, and well-coordinated.
We have an immediate opening for an Arborist Groundscrew / Driver to support our crew in daily operations. This role is essential to keeping our job sites safe, efficient, and well-coordinated.
Requirements:
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license (required), CDL preferred.
- Clean driving record.
- Experience operating trucks hauling equipment trailers.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather, year-round.
- Ability to hear and follow verbal instructions from a distance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely drive an F250 pickup truck with trailer and stump grinder.
- Operate stump grinder and feed brush into chipper.
- Carry, lay out, and stow materials, tools, and equipment at work sites.
- Load and unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris (25 lbs. or more).
- Use hand lines to lower limbs and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area (raking, blowing, etc.).
- Operate hand saws, pole saws, pruners, loppers, and gas-powered chainsaws.
- Safeguard employees and the public from hazards around the work area.
- Maintain frequent voice communication with workers aloft.
- Help enforce on-the-job safety practices.
Schedule & Pay:
- Full-time, year-round in Dedham, MA.
- Monday–Friday.
